The Watertown Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency located in Tennessee. The department is composed of 3 main divisions: patrol, criminal investigations, and city court. The patrol division is the largest of the department. This division is responsible for responding to calls for service, enforcing laws and ordinances, traffic control, and providing conflict resolution and crime prevention. The criminal investigations division is responsible for investigating crimes committed within the city limits. This division investigates thefts, domestic assaults, burglaries, vandalisms and juvenile related offenses. The division also works closely with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit to prevent and reduce drug offenses including sales, trafficking and manufacturing. The city court division is a civil court which oversees traffic offenses, city ordinance violations and other misdemeanor offenses. The mission of the department is to improve the quality of life in the city. The officers within the department accomplish this goal by working with the community. All officers employed by the department are POST certified.
