The Germantown Police Department is a law enforcement agency located in Tennessee. The department is composed of 4 divisions: police services, uniform patrol, investigations, and communications.

The police services division is responsible for coordinating community events, training law enforcement personnel, overseeing the communications center and the jail, organizing the Reserve Officer Program and the Citizen Police Academy, recruitment services, and the neighborhood watch program.

The dispatchers also perform jail duties which include processing inmates, maintaining jail records, and ensuring inmate security and safety. The jail is a 72 hour holding facility.

Germantown covers a total of 20.01 square miles and has a population of 39,193 and is a suburb of Memphis. The city was incorporated in 1841.
