Dandridge is a town in, and the county seat of Jefferson County. The town covers a total of 6.47 square miles and has a population of 3,157. The town is part of the Morristown, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area. Dandridge was incorporated in 1799. There are currently 51 registered sex offenders residing in Dandridge.

Dandridge operates with a Board of Mayor and Aldermen form of Government. They are the elected officials. The current mayor is George Ganette. Ganette is responsible for appointing a town administrator, town judge and town attorney.
