The Sequatchie County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility which houses adult inmates who have been charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes. All inmates are awaiting trial or serving their sentence. Once an inmate is booked, they are able to participate in many programs such as GED classes, church services, work release, trustee programs and a garden program. The mission of the jail is to provide care, control, treatment and custody of incarcerated inmates. The facility has a capacity of 96 inmates.

How to Send Mail to an Inmate
Inmates are allowed to receive mail sent through the U.S. Postal Service. All mail will be searched for contraband.

Commissary deposits can be made to an inmate’s account in person, online or over the phone. The Sequatchie County Jail works with a 3rd party provider called VendEngine. To make a deposit online, visit the VendEngine website. To make a deposit over the phone, call 1-855-836-3364. To make a deposit in person, visit the kiosk near the visitation room in the Sequatchie County Justice Center.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are allowed visitation based on the pod they are housed in. All visitors must be approved through the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office. For specific visitation hours, contact the jail.

The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office has a most wanted list. The list makes the fugitive’s name, mugshot and charges public knowledge. If the public has any knowledge of a wanted fugitive, contact the Sheriff’s Office.
