Visitation Hours
Visitors must be on the inmate’s approved visitor list and have a valid photo ID. On a visitor’s first visit, they must complete a Visitor Information Form. The information on the form is entered into the Sheriff’s Department database to make sure the visitor has no outstanding warrants or criminal background.
Visiting hours are determined by cell assignment. It is the inmate’s responsibility to inform their approved visitors of the correct day and times of visitation. An inmate is allowed 1 visit per week and each visit lasts 1 hour.
The Blount County Detention Facility updates their inmate roster every 24 hours. Inmates on the roster will be listed in alphabetical order by their last name. The roster will list their name, sex, race, intake date and criminal class.
