How to Send Mail to an Inmate
Inmates are allowed to receive mail sent through the U.S. Postal Service. Mail must be written on white lined paper with blue or black ink and sent in a plain white envelope. No other items are accepted. All mail is searched for contraband before being distributed to inmates.

Commissary deposits can be made online, over the phone or in person. The Montgomery County Jail uses a 3rd party provider called VendEngine to process commissary deposits. To make an online deposit, visit the VendEngine website. To make a deposit over the phone, call 855-836-3364. To make a deposit in person, visit the kiosk located in the Montgomery County Jail lobby.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are allowed approved visitations. All visitors must fill out a Visitation Request Form and submit it to the Sheriff’s Office. Visitors can schedule an appointment once the request is approved. All visits are by appointment only. Visitation is Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 6 pm and 9:30 pm. Exact days and times are depending upon where the inmate is housed.
The Montgomery County Jail roster is updated every 24 hours. The roster lists the inmate’s name, mugshot, charges, arresting agency and bond amount. There is an option to search for an inmate by their first and last name.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office offers a public warrant search. The full first and last name of the individual must be known. For more information on warrants, contact the warrants division at 931-648-0611.
