How to Send Mail to an Inmate

Inmates are allowed to receive mail sent through the U.S. Postal Service. All mail will be searched for contraband.

Commissary deposits can be made to an inmate’s account online or in person. The Overton County Jail uses a 3rd party company called Inmate Sales. To make a deposit online, visit the Inmate Sales website. To make a deposit in person, visit the kiosk in the front lobby of the Sheriff’s Department. The inmate’s full name and birthday is needed to add funds.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed visitors via video recording. All visitors must submit a Visitor Information Form before scheduling visits. Visits are only scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays between 8 am and 11 am by phone or in person. Photo ID must be presented at every visit.
