How to Send Mail to Inmates
Inmates are allowed to receive mail. Inmates are NOT allowed: magazines, hardcover books, cash or money orders, stickers, tape, any other contraband. Paperback books and newspapers must be sent directly from the publisher or book supplier.

Commissary can be deposited into an inmate’s account through a 3rd party company called JailFunds. Deposits can be made online or onsite at the kiosk in the jail lobby. The kiosk accepts cash or cards.
Visitation Hours
Inmate visitation is offered onsite or through the internet. Visitation online through a 3rd party company called GTL. Visits can be scheduled on the GTL website. Visitation hours are subject to change without notice.

The Fayette County Detention Center’s inmate roster is updated every 24 hours. All inmates in the facility are listed in alphabetical order by last name. The inmate’s race, sex, date of birth and arrest date are listed on the roster. The public can also see the inmate’s charges and bond information.
The public can search for people who have active warrants in the county. To search for a warrant, the name, race and sex of the person is needed. If the person has a warrant, it will list the charges and the date the warrant was issued.
Former inmates can receive copies of their incarceration records in person or by mail. Valid identification must be submitted.
