The Madison County Jail is a minimum to maximum security facility and houses adult inmates who have been charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes. All inmates being held at the jail have been convicted, are awaiting trial or transfer to municipal facilities or state prison.

How to Send Mail to an Inmate
Inmates are allowed to receive mail sent through the U.S. Postal Service. All mail will be searched for contraband.

Commissary deposits can be made to an inmate’s account in person or online. To make a deposit in person, visit the kiosk located in the jail lobby. For information on online deposits, contact the jail.
Visitation Hours
Inmates are allowed two 30 minute visits per week. Visitation is available online or onsite. All visits will be via video recording. Visits must be scheduled at least 1 day in advance, but not more than 1 week in advance. The Madison County Jail has the right to cancel or stop a visit without any notice. Visits can be scheduled onsite or online through a third party company called GTL.
Monday-Sunday: 8:30 am to 11:30 am; 1 pm to 9 pm
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has a most wanted list. The list currently contains 10 fugitives. The list shows the fugitive’s name, mugshot and charges. The office asks the public to contact Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477 with any information regarding the fugitive. There is a reward offered for information leading to the apprehension of a fugitive up to $1,000.
The warrants division is responsible for processing and serving all criminal and civil papers in the county. To find out if someone has a warrant, contact the Sheriff’s Office.
