The Perry County Jail is a minimum security facility that houses adult inmates. All inmates have been charged with misdemeanor or felony charges. Inmates are awaiting trial or serving out their sentence. The facility has a capacity of 58 inmates. The jail employs 14 correctional officers.

How to Send Mail to an Inmate

Inmates are allowed to receive mail sent through the U.S. Postal Service. All mail will be searched for contraband. All letters must have a complete return address on them. Books and magazines are accepted if they are sent directly from the distributor.

Commissary deposits can be made in person or online. The Perry County Jail uses a 3rd party company called Jail ATM. To make a deposit online, visit the Jail ATM website. To make a deposit in person, visit the kiosk located in the Perry County Sheriff’s Department lobby. The inmate’s name and jacket number will be needed to make a deposit.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed visitors at the Perry County Jail. Inmates must put all expected visitors on a visitation list. The list must be approved before a visitation can be scheduled. Inmates can have up to 2 visitors at one time. To find out how to schedule a visit, contact the jail.

DUE TO COVID 19, all visitors must have vaccination proof.
